Looks like things are hotting up.
I have just planted out my runners, dwarf french beans, climbing french beans plus a courgette and some lettuce. As with others I have protected the beans with fleece and the courgette with a cloche. The tomatoes will be going out soon.
Very soon went out this afternoon!
Fingers crossed HH

My toms are out at home (quite sheltered) but they were getting too big...i have back up if something drastic happens.
planted out a couple of peppers this morning....same applies

salads are out at home and at the allotment...all ok, albeit a bit slow due to the weather.

planted my first courgettes (or as hubby calls them..weeds), today at the plot...again...i have back up.

hoping to plant out my sweetcorn next week and dwarf beans as they look like they need to be released from the greenhouse but will check the temps nearer the time, also may plant out my spare toms at the plot if the long range forecast is ok ::)

I'm weary with propagating, germinating, mollycoddling, watering, hardening off and the rest..

These plants need to know who's running this show..

They've had it too cushy, for too long..

Ridge cucumbers, french beans and runners, tomatoes, courgette...

All out on the plot today.

Well said, Juvenal!

I've just filled nine 3'0" trays with various flowers, and while they're not exposed too much, they'll have to talk amongst themselves outside for the next few nights...;0)

Beetroot, lettuce, borlotti, dwarf french beans and courgettes all out. Tomatoes are being hardened off, maybe they’ll go outside on Sunday. Putting the tomatoes out is always a red letter day. They are my princesses. It’s like sending your kids off to university. They are still quite small but I think that is partly due to the lower quality potting compost one gets these days. I think they need proper soil.

Yesterday I put toms out on the plot and patio and a couple chili plants out yesterday night (Oxford), and aubergines into an unheated outdoor mini greenhouse. All look fine after having spent a night al fresco.

I have a few backup chilis and aubergines on my window ledge in case it all goes pear-shaped.

All frost sensitive plants now outside and in the ground for me and under fleece which really helps, apart from french beans and cucumbers which do better with warmer soil than the likes of tomatoes. Plus I only sowed them a few days ago, they can go in a week or two time.

How tall is your sweetcorn HH? Mine is only about 10cm tall I fear that’s too small.

The whole 'shebang' is now outside, even the runner beans are in an open hardening-off tent, so it's now or never...

The whole morning was spent potting on, filling trays, arranging flower beds etc., and I really did need the bottle of Guinness when I came in just before lunch, which is normal for a Sunday anyway!

Feels good, dunnit..;0)

Mine are no larger than yours possibly less but I have crossed my fingers!
They didn’t seem to be doing much at home so I’m taking a risk.

Thanks HH that’s encouraging. I had the same thought with my tomatoes,  also plateaued in their pots so I have planted out. I’ll take a risk on the sweetcorn too!
