Hi all
With space at a premium does anyone grow anything under thier sweetcorn, hoping to grow onions etc under the sweetcorn to fit everything in

Not sure about onions but have you looked at the American Indian approach with the three sisters? Corn with squash and climbing beans. Needs to have fertile soil but good. I have used courgettes and corn which wasn’t bad.

we interplant with rocket and lettuce  [have done perpetual spinach but this does get a bit big] these can be planted before and after sweetcorn go in they also do well in partial shade  good luck.

Usually squash, but going to have to change that this yeas as they need protecting from Squirrels

I found that all but the shortest beans get in the way of pollen heading for ears.  Less intrusive low level plants work better imo.
