My Verbena bonariensis was set back hard by the cold weather. I thought that they were dead but have just noticed tiny new growth appearing.

Question; would it be a good idea to give them a little help with some fertilizer?

I wouldn't feed them now, perhaps a weak feed once they start flowering..
