Some of my recently planted snaps have been attacked by a blackbird.  How can I protect the rest and those sown directly in the ground which should germinate shortly. They have an inverted V frame with clematis netting to climb up and can't think of anything that I can put on each side of each leg of the V.

Try rigging up a 'pup tent' of plastic netting over the pea row. If your pea trellis is alreadg in place, the tent will also need to enclose the trellis.

Can you put a netting tunnel between the plants and the V frame, or rest fleece on top of the plants? Sparrows love pea shoots too!
