My raspberry row is along one edge of my veg patch, so I made a physical barrier to stop them invading the rest of it - I used some leftover pond liner about 12" wide inserted vertically into the soil (doesn't have to be pond liner, but it does need to be quite tough as the suckers are strong and persistent!)
Only the odd sucker appears on the protected side and is easily pulled or dug out (as for the other, unprotected, side, I now have raspberry plants trying to establish in the hedge having burrowed under the adjacent path!
