That is how long I spent today working in the garden. My neighbour lent me their battery lawn mower, so the lawn is cut. Doesn't look brilliant, but it is cut. Their mower has a high setting, mine doesn't. Then I thought I must just sort that gravel bed. I have pulled out big grasses which bought the matting up with it !. Removed self-seeded forget me nots, don't they have long roots. All the rest of the grasses have now been cut down very low. Dug out some pots on there. This doesn't sound much. I moved then to the matching gravel
and did a lot there. I went out at 12.15pm and realised later that I hadn't had my breakfast, so I came in and that was the 3 hours gone. My long nails have survived me hand digging in the gravel (not gloves for me)
Now it is pouring with rain. I must now prepare for a WI tea party tomorrow, ie: hair is now washed and hanging wet and nails will get 2 coats in the morning, or maybe the first this evening.
I am astonished, at how good I feel. People who say gardening is good for one mentally and physically are right, Going to make and big ham sandwich for dinner with a cuppa Soup.
Fantastic, feel so happy with myself. Mrs Bouquet
