Fisk cakes with parsley sauce and pots with D F beans.

Fish pie, I used to make my own but now I work on Fridays  it's easier to buy one.  Lazy I know but bits of life here are overwhelming me. I have the last scan tomorrow morning which will prove that there is nothing wrong with my stomach than the fact I can't absorb Lactose(stroke) lactase.  It's  taken them 60 years!

I sort of made it up.
Poach some haddock in water, drain when cooked & put to cool. Save the poaching water and add a fish stock cube of jelly pot.
In a large frying pan,  use my wok, fry a finely chopped onion in oil or whatever you normally fry in, until softened, add 100g risotto rice per person as there’s 2 of us that’s 200g, stir it through the onions &oil. Grind in some black pepper.  Start to add a ladleful of the saved poaching liquid & cook until absorbed, add a ladleful at a time, keeping the liquid hot as it’s in waiting. Until it’s all gone, if more is needed add more boiling water to your pan & continue to add a ladleful at a time until the rice is cooked, you do need to stir it all the time. I add peas or broad beans, or whatever I fancy about 5 minutes before the end. Once all done I stir  in 40 gms of finely grated Parmesan & but I also add a couple of Mclleland seriously strong cheese squares or the tubs of it, this makes it very creamy. Adjust the seasoning to taste. Serve with a poached egg on top . Apart from the rice & Parmesan I don’t really measure anything .

Soddages cooked in the oven as also had plot spuds in there, plus a dish of braised veg.  There were leeks and turnips from the plot and some carrots which weren’t, but needed to be used up.

I have curry munchies, there's nothing meaty left to curry though. I have an emergency lentil/chick pea and spinach one in the freezer but I always think veggie food is more lunch than dinner  ::) but it will do if I can't figure out something better.

Curry munchies here, as well  :D Got some chicken pieces defrosting, they're stuck together in a lump so couldn't work out exactly what they are

Although I couldn't find anything to curry in the freezer yesterday, I did find some sliced beef in gravy (anyone remember when I last slow cooked a beef joint?)  So it's sliced beef, spuds, possibly roasties if I CBA and chunky mixed veggies tonight, no eggs for yellow frizbee's though.
