Sawhedge and chips, using the last little bit of chill up instead of beans too.

Beef lasagne, boiled pots and broccoli.

Respect to all of you who are still cooking.  I am limiting myself to 1 pan for 10 mins max and that is on a good day.

Today is another 30 degrees C day, so no cooking.  We are going to have a green salad with cold meat and some crusty rolls, plus a tomato and mozzarella salad with tomatoes and basil from the greenhouse.

Yesterday after a 2nd long day travelling we ended up with cheese & biscuits, grapes, tomatoes & cucumbers, with himself starting with apple pie & custard  :tongue2: plus a couple of glasses of vino colapso. Tonight we’re having the sirloin steaks we bought at Tebay farm shop with jacket potato, mushrooms & salad.

No cooking here, either, tinned tuna, tinned sweetcorn, add chilli mayo and stir - serve with salad bits. :D

Not happening here either.  I can't find a spud big enough to survive being nuked so it's cheese sandwich time.

I put some beef shin in the slow cooker earlier with some onions and an oxo. There's half a savoy waiting in the fridge and I think mash is called for, I'm just waiting for the promised thunderstorms to cool the place down enough to venture into the kitchen.

Paul always cooks on a Sunday, he trained as a chef, so should know what he's doing. (ie, use every knife, fork, spoon in the drawer, leave them on the side for me to clear up tomorrow!)  It's gammon hocks, roast   p otatoes, swede, parsnips and carrots tonight apparently.  After 26 years together you'd think he would know I don't  like gammon, never have.  Oh well, I'll eat a bit and smile gratefully

Despite being cooked all day the shin was still on the chewy side but very tasty none the less.  I do think a piece of meat is better than diced for things like that, braising steak appears to have gone out of fashion though.

Leftovers tonight sans cabbage, that will have to be substituted with chunky mixed veg.

I've got some minced beef defrosting for a cottage pie, will add some lentils and carrots, to the beef to stretch it a bit, and I've got a pkt of instant mash going out of date, so that'll do for the topping.
Fancy some broccoli with it - so that's sorted then  :D
