Spaghetti and meatballs in a ‘half the garden’ tomato sauce.

It was plot onion, plot courgette and aubergines from home, cooked slowly with garlic and herbs, then greenhouse tomatoes and tinned tomatoes added to it and cooked down to reduce to a sauce.

Fish and chips, our local corner shop sell battered cod, plus a bag of frozen chips and a small bag of frozen peas for a fiver. This makes two meals for the two of us and is well worth the money.  Friday's dinner  is a tasty, cheap meal.  The most expensive thing on the menu is probably the Tartar Sauce!

Paul got some sausages from the Island Meat Company, love their burgers but the sausages are too  'solid' for me (not a big fan of sausages in the first     place).  Using up the last three from the tray of six tonight with plenty of onions, relish and anything else I can find to add, in our favourite Saturday purchase, a bread roll.  Dave only opened his bakery a year  ago after being made redundant after the Pandemic.

Leftover cooked chicken, oven chips and salad.  I’d been in the kitchen making preserves for a lot of the day, so was not up for much of an effort with tea

Put some chicken thighs in the slow cooker at lunchtime but that's as far as I've got.

I should probably do some mash and mixed veg as I appear to have 3 bags of broccoli in the freezer
