Battered cod and chips    for me, pork chop and chips for Paul.  The carrots in the basket are sooo shrivelled that they've gone in the compost bin.  We only bought them on Tuesday!

Every shopping I buy some chicken thighs thinking I'll make something tasty out with them after marinating for  few day. Every time I end up dumping the lot as is in the slow cooker, which is exactly what I'll do this morning. Dinner will end up being some sort of shredded chicken, might spice it up and put it with a few chips depending on the weather.

<edit>

Oh dear dinner will be late - some dipstick put the chicken in the slow cooker and went out without turning it on ... what a wally.

Minted lamb kebabs, salad and new potatoes.  Pitta bread to go with.  Due to the warm weather and the festival, bbq items are in short supply.

Air fryer Indian style chicken legs in garlic, ginger and chilli marinade with the usual suspects of spices.  Naan and salads to go with them.

I lied it wasn’t smoked haddock cos hubby found the cooked & flaked fish lurking in the microwave this morning  :wacko: :wacko I’d only forgot to add it :ohmy:
Tonight, roast chicken & potatoes, gravy ,stuffing no doubt, carrots,b.beans & cabbage, well at least I hope so!

eewww - bet that smells nice.

Also chicken here, a couple more of those thighs with some wedges and a few mushies, not award winning but nice enough, it make a big difference just crisping the skins up a bit in the oven too.

We were supposed to be going on a picnic type meal with some friends who own land running down to the river in Newport.  On the other side of the river is the back of the stage at the festival so we can hear the music but not see it.  Due to the wet weather this has been cancelled (our picnic not the festival) so an emergency tea of whatever we can find that we can cook quickly.

Got some really HUGE potatoes in my last Trashco delivery, so I've got mince defrosting to make a large cottage pie (may only need 1 potato, they were that big!!)
When it's cooked I can portion it out and freeze what I don't eat immediately. I haven't decided what veg to go with it yet.....

We've got mince out as well which will be made into spag. bol. , using up the scraps of mushrooms, half a pepper and a carrot which is one day away from being thrown out.
