Chicken casserole in the slow cooker, was a bit concerned as the light didn't come on when switched on but all appears to be in working order and heated up nicely.  The bulb in the indicator light must have gone(blown) but I can't see any way of replacing it.  New potatoes to put in later so it's just the one p ot to wash up.

Planned on making a large cottage pie but it's a bit too hot to be bothered. Beans on toast sounds about the right amount of CBA  :nowink:

Been to son’s for outside tea, pizza’s from the new pizza oven, chicken thighs cooked in there too, monkfish, aubergine, mushrooms & tomato skewers, salads, coleslaw, pasta salad. Followed by ice creams for grandchildren & freshly hm fruit scones, jam & clotted cream for some, then grandchildren found they had room for one too

Had a man-sized amount of scrambled egg on toast for a late lunch and don't feel like much - too hot.

Fish fingers, chips and peas, have had a really hard, tiring day with Paul's Dad who doesn't seem able, willing etc., to understand that business and banking has  moved on.

Cold chicken and salads.  I made potato salad and then a tomato and avocado one served over salad leaves.

Duck breast and sauted potatoes, apparently.  I was not consulted, but that's what I am now told  I am getting.

Friday -so it should be oven chip and whatever, but it's way too hot to put the oven on. Looking in the fridge I have leftover chilli and some left over mashed potatoes. It's going to be hard not to just put them both in the microwave for 4 minutes and call it a meal  :nowink:

Chicken drumsticks in HM sweet chilli sauce ftf, to heat through in the microwave, with salad bits - is about as much effort as I can manage  ::)
