Paul's not feeling very well and all he wanted was a chip sandwich.  I've always gone with when you're under the weather eat what you think will make you feel better.  We'd had a good breakfast and lunch so didn't mind going with a 'dodo' dinner.  I only ate half of mine because it was not what I wanted, but hey ho, he was really happy.  Things we do for Husbands. :D

I'm completely out of idea tonight. I made a fresh loaf lunch time so it may just be a cheese sandwich, especially as it's getting late.

There was 75% off a vegan quiche when I did the shopping so that's the plan for tonight a jacket and whatever veggie matter I can find ... how bad could it?

Last night was Dover Sole with new potatoes, green beans and carrots.  Removed the skeleton but it was so full of small bones that really puts me off having them again.  Tonight is a chicken curry, bhajis, rice and naans.

Pastry was as you'd expect from shop bought stuff - but the filling was for want of a better word, slimy. Quiche is wasn't and I may have to make a real one to get over the experience. If they'd have slapped a lid on it would have passed as a veggie pie/slice type of thing without much fuss, no need to jump on the vegan bandwaggon.

Had to google it....

Quote
Seeded spelt shortcrust pastry with spinach and SunBlush® tomatoes in a creamy oat and coconut milk filling, hand-topped with roasted tomatoes and millet.
Nah - slime.
