Shopping delivery day - M&S special fried rice which as far as I can tell is just fried rice with a few prawns and some thin sliced pork.  3 Mins in the microwave and saves having to think of a meal.

Now I've got in burger mood, have been seeing the chicken burger ad on tv so tried them.  Don't think the ones we got are the ones on the ad as they looked nothing like them.  No taste and not much substance.  considering they were Birds Eye, a bit of a let down.  I'll stick with the recipe I followed the other day for beef ones.

You might want to try the Ultimate Fillet Burgers.  The Sizzler one makes a good fakeaway version of a KFC zinger burger.

Tonight for us was chicken with veggie rice.

Friday - Couple of oven chips, some mushies and a cheese pastry slice thing. Beans and mushy peas both missing from the shopping order.

Cauliflower reduced to 20p in the Co-op, couldn't refuse really, so cauli cheese and garlic bread.  Broccoli also reduced so got some of that as well.  Enough to have as a veg tomorrow and found some Stilton in the freezer so broccoli and stilton soup to be made for another day's lunch.

Attack of the curry munchies, I tried to fend it off with the emergency veggie masala and rice that I'd been hiding in the freezer but alas they are unsatisfied and I'm still hungry.

The only joint we could find was half a chicken but we're having turkey next weekend when we've got visitors.  Hunting through the freezers threw up a load of blanks until Paul found some sausages and asked for Toad in the Hole.

Leftovers, they need to be used up, so rest of cauli cheese mixed with leftover broccoli from last night and cheese, onion and potato pie from yesterday's left over mash.    Will have to go freezer diving later to get something out for tomorrow.

Chicken stew in the pressure cooker, & boy is it needed as it’s gone decidedly cold.
