Apple blossom in August
« on: August 22, 2022, 19:14 »
Bardsey cordon apple blossoming in August.  I can only think that the rapid overnight drop in temperatures of circa 10c here at the end of the first heatwave has made it think it's been through Winter already. Haven't seen this happen before.

It's not unusual and you are right; it is caused by the sudden cooler weather. Sadly it will have used up some of next season's fruit buds.
