Having had two dis-AAAstrous goes at germinating seeds and potting-on this year's plug plants, I was standing looking morosely at the piles of compost bags in my local garden centre when I saw a lady getting some Sylvagrow with added John Innes so I asked her about it as it's a new one to me. She seemed very well-informed about gardening and said she doesn't use anything else so I got two 50L bags. On opening the compost is absolutely lovely with a good old-fashioned smell and no clods or other unwanted rubbish to chuck out. OK, it's a bit pricier than others but if you take into account I'd wasted money on two MG peat-free bags so was set back several weeks, plus I had to buy plants which I intended to grow from seeds, I feel it's worth the price. Has anyone else tried it?
