I'll try another batch of nettle tea but now its summer, the plants have flowered and seeded.  So, does the prolonged drowning make the seeds incapable of germinating?  I'd guess probably not but would like to ask here before I chuck the debris on the compost heap

I made my nettle tea 3 weeks ago, it is still brewing. I shall be using it on my brassicas and greens in a weeks time. I have never experienced the seeds springing back to life on my compost heap, after I have decanted the brew. The resultant sludge just like my comfrey sludge just gets chucked on my heap.

I'm told the resulting tea is less nutritious once the plants have flowered. If they're on your own land you could cut them back & then wait & use the re-growth for tea. That said I doubt that the seeds would be viable after fermenting.
