What is wrong with my PSB
« on: June 05, 2022, 13:54 »
I have planted my PSB (Claret) in containers filled with good compost and 6X. They are growing but just dont look healthy. All the leaves are gradually looking more like the lower left leaf in the picture. Is this a virus of some sort?

Sounds as if they aren't taking up the nutrients in the soil. How about watering them with Epsom salts? On the other hand, if it's been up and down in temperature or windy they may just be sulking at the weather.

Could it be cabbage root fly? It got all my brassica last year except the early cabbage. The plants never really got going after transplanting and when I finally pulled them up there was virtually no root there. Might be worth pulling one on the worst up and looking for bugs.

They have had collars on and are still growing well so hopefully not cabbage root fly. I have given them all a tonic of Maxicrop seaweed plus in case they are deficient in some nutrient. They are in containers and up to now have only been fed 6X.
