when is the best time to sow broccoli seed because I believe I may be setting my broccoli seed to early we always grow the white variety burbank they didn't seem to crop that well this time not to keen on the purple varieties any advise most welcome

I guess I mite be a bit hasty in sowings so I'm going to sow late May many hanks RW

If you sow in early june in modules you can plant out in July after broad beans/lettuce/garlic etc . Just depends on how you use your plot.

I've always sowed direct but thought I'd try modules this year. Sowed early march in the heated propagator, potted on a few weeks later, and I sowed them out yesterday. The piantini were the best I've grown. Hopefully they'll come good. If so I'll do it this way in future.
