Sixteen pounds worth of proper compost
« on: April 29, 2022, 20:29 »
Just over 2 cubic yards.

I was going to have Mrs Subversive unload it for me while I take a nap, but I can't find her for some reason.

This lot is going in the new pepper bed and rhubarb bed.

Surely you jest, SP!

Quote from Bing: "On average, one cubic yard of compost weighs 1250 lbs (567 kg)."

It's a little more than 16 pounds, bud. 1600, maybe?

Perhaps SP is referring to £s rather than lbs.

Ah, maybe so. All will be revealed, I guess.

Exactly!  I was busy when I posted, forgot that I had that currency symbol available on my phone. Not a bad price though, right?

(The mass of all that is in the neighborhood of one ton, maybe more; the last compost I got from that facility was fairly wet (rain), this is drier.)
