Is it too early to prune my young damson tree?
« on: March 19, 2022, 21:31 »
I’ve had it for 2 years. The weather here in London has been sunny since Friday and is forecast to be sunny again at least till next Friday ( although cold). Can I risk it now that we have a spell of dry weather, or should I wait till April ( and risk a wet April)? Many thanks for any advice.

I would say that it is still far too early, but I stand to be corrected if this is wrong.   I have never pruned any of my stone fruit trees until end June/early July.  Apples and pears might be ok, but not plums, cherries, damsons etc.
