Very rare thunderstorm here just after 2am - 9.5mm of very welcome rain.

Fine, dry, 18C at the moment, but also very humid (92%)

We're still stuck with the humid, grey cloud - but our thunderstorm action is forecast for this afternoon/evening....

the 80% chance of rain is now a 30% chance Pfft....

Our forecast was wrong as well. Was supposed to be a dry day, got steadily more cloudy and we had a fairly long spell of rain around midday that only stopped about half an hour ago.

All the forecasts I've seen today have said thunder storms and rain from  3pm onwards.  I'm still waiting.
Otherwise it's been quite bright.  I know we had some rain during the night but nothing since.

We have a storm over us now. Not as dramatic as the one in the dead of last night, but there is thunder and lightning, plus a lot of rain.

We had a storm pass over us last night, dumped a huge load of water and the lightning terrified the dog. We had another storm this evening with even more rain. Happy to report doggo took it all in his stride tonight

Proper storm late yesterday evening - Roof leaks    It dropped a huge amount of water very quickly, I noticed the flood warning signs were out when I walked the dog this morning.

Very damp today but still feels warm and muggy, despite Alex telling me it's only 13c.

Nearly an inch of overnight rain, now very misty, 16C and 100% humidity. 

From the rain radar it looks likely there will be some more rain within the hour...

Dog in a state of shock, we've had to close the backdoor because it's tipping down.   Drizzle/light rain earlier this afternoon but proper rain now.

We're in the light rain stage, hopefully we'll get some of the heavier stuff later as well

Apparently we had a mini tornado or almost tornado over Yaverland (part of Sandown) at 1.30pm today. Wind speeds of 130mph.  I've watched videos on Sandown Hub and Island Echo so I know the report is correct.  It's only about 5 miles from us and I didn't notice any difference in the weather. Short sharp showers on and off.
