Yesterday was roasted rib of beef & all the trimmings . It had been in the freezer from Christmas (never got round to using it) started defrosting it on Wednesday. Lovely piece of beef, roast potatoes,parsnips, Mediterranean veg,Yorkshire puds,peas,carrots & fresh asparagus, about the last of the cavolo Nero kale cooked with onion,chilli, garlic & rosemary ala Spoghie Grigson & lashing of gravy. Washed down with a nice red vino colapso, that we’d been bought for Christmas & I’d squirrelled away to have with the beef

Folded by apple pie or jam & banana flan, ice cream,cream or yogurt.
