Good morning everyone,  are the seeds from fresh mature chilies as viable as those from dry chilies?

Yes, just dry the seeds and use then when needed.

This prompted me to think about frozen chilli seeds and their viability.

I was going to ask the question but googled instead.

Seems there are mixed opinions but the main point appears to be to make sure the seeds are dried before freezing.
I've got loads of bright red birds eye chillies in the freezer, they'll be no good.
I'll get some more and dry them...see how they go...looking ahead to 2023  :unsure: we love chillies 8)
