Each year I accidentally let one or two self seed and end up with a bunch of very small onion. Smaller than sets. Is it worth putting out the little onions as if they were sets? The self seeded ones that is. I think I have done this last year and have some small onions to show for it. Small I assume because I didn't look after them and they ain't in the best location. See picture. Was thinking of putting out this month.
