My tomatoes are green that have not turned, is it because of the weather

Toms need so much light to get going, not neccessarily heat, and we just don't have that much at this time of the year, as we're a month or so past the longest day!

You'll probably be OK if the weather brightens up, but it'll take a bit of time!

There's going to  be a lot of green chutney made this year methinks.

If they get to full size they will ripen on the window ledge, as a last resort

A lot of mine got blight, so I brought all the surviving and semi-surviving ones home for the windowsill to ripen. Never suffered blight before, but it's only one bed. The other side of the plot is Ok and the toms are turning red. Nature eh?

Just picked our first 'Shirley', which usually get going by the end of July...

Still, better late than never I suppose - I shouldn't really grumble, a local chum's just told me she's lost the lot to the dreaded b****t, and she usually grows tons!

That B******x mixture and aspirin is just flying around at the moment!
