just harvested some 10 large butternut squash. I took the seed out or a butternut from tesco. I did not think they were doing very well and was going to rip them up and burn them as mutants. But my wife insisted on leaving them and now there's loads of fruit on them. All the other squash seed i kept from last year are mutants but eatable.
always have a target
and an objective.

my son talked me into roasting it with other veggies , must say covered in herbs and olive oil it does taste ok
still alive /............

Well done - mine were a complete disaster this year. We did find one from last year we'd forgotton and it was still good. Amazing really.

... although I think squash and pumpkins are really fun to grow.
