Rain ... hallelujah !
« on: April 26, 2021, 12:37 »

Just receiving our first drop of rain in two months and boy do we need it! I opened up an old strawberry bed on Friday to create a new long raised bed for tomatoes, peppers and Aubergines. Now bearing in mind that this was a bed that had not been trodden on and had a weed suppressant fabric over it when I got that off I could not get a garden fork into the ground it was so hard. I was just going to do the CD method and cover it with compost but I could not get the ground open to plant anything so I had to persevere with the digging fork to break it up. This bit of rain will help and I should be able to get something in the ground soon
