anyone else getting excited?

This time next week and I can be on the plot till 8pm ish  ;)

2 hours on the plot after work, oh deep joy.
Who else is chomping at the bit to do the evening shifts?

Looking forward to pottering in the garden in the evening.  Lighter evenings certainly lift my mood.

well it will be nice to get a little more daylight and for those who still go to work an extra hour on the plot will be a bonus

and yes i guess we are all chopping at the bit to get out on our plots but of cause when your retired you can afford to take life  at a more leisurely pace we tend to spend the mornings down the allotment then the afternoon is spent in the greenhouses or workshop after the Zzzzz

years ago i would think nothing of spending many long hours down the allotments weekends included but its basic hours now no overtime the wife can't afford to pay me overtime  :D :D payment these days are more on terms of  please and thank or I.O.U. but I don't really know where to spend that

Trouble is that the village buses don't run evenings so till the replaced knee is more active it'll be time at home in the so far unproductive back garden. Need to do something about that garden.

This week has been the best yet, as we had some glorious sunshine, but the greenhouse is beginning to overflow already as well, so a sign of spring is a temporary blow-away GH to take the over-wintering fuscias and geraniums to make space for the new seedlings etc...

I also love the early evenings to potter around doing small jobs like the edges, and generally wandering around finding bits to do in no hurry!

I'm not retired yet. I still have 5 to 7 years left on my sentence!  :D. But I do enjoy the longer evenings, as long as it isn't hot.

Yes, looking forward to the extra hour of daylight in the evening, especially as I can take full advantage of it working from home and get an hours work done on the plot after work. Very useful now the weather has decided to have the warm sunny weather in the week and the cruddy cool dull clag on the weekends.

Been there, seen it, done it, had the T-shirt . . . . many times. If memory serves me correctly, since leaving school I must have worked at the very least least 20 years on shift.
I may be Welsh, but I love ewe anyway!
