Plant identification please
« on: October 06, 2020, 13:50 »
This plant has migrated from my neighbours garden, shes not sure what it is.
Grows to about six feet and has clusters of dark buds which opened to small pink flowers in the summer. Seems to be quite vigorous.
Any suggestions would be useful.

I have that in my garden.  The leaves have quite a pungent smell, and its flowers are lovely.

Clerodendrum bungei.  Its a great plant for the back of the boarder but it will pop up a long distance off.  Its no problem to pull up the bits you dont want.

Thanks for that Aunt Sally
As you say it does travel, it started growing out of the middle of my shrub border :nowink:
