Aeschynanthus Twister, lipstick plant.

It’s a house plant with twisted leaves and lipstick red flowers.

That is fantastic, a perfect replacement for this, which never does anything.

Hi Br, the plant in your 'photo is a Christmas (sorry that word again ) Cactus.   Around that time it should reward you with beautiful flowers.   It may well reward you if it is re-sited.   Mrs Bouquet

Actually, now you mention it, yes, that's what it is, thanks. I can't remember it flowering though. Where should it be kept to encourage flowering?

Just keep it somewhere so that it gets lots of light but not direct sun.   It is a succulent so only needs a few drops of water maybe once a week.     My Mum treated her's in a very casual way, she was no gardener, but the flowers were always lovely, although they are not the prettiest the rest of the year,   good luck.  Mrs B

Haha, that's quite a coincidence, who'd have thought it

Has anyone tried growing an Aeschynanthus. It's an interesting looking plant, I'd really like one!

If you follow the RHS link I gave before there is some cultural information.

Thanks Aunt sally, I had looked at that. Just wondered if anyone had tried.  :)
They're not cheap although someone is selling them for about £10 small rooted cuttings.
I wonder if they will produce the same vibrant flowers as the mother plant.
