Brassicas - a success
« on: July 04, 2020, 19:12 »
Hi all,
Just thought I would share a success story. This year (my second with an allotment and greenhouse), I sowed calabrese, caulifower and dutchman cabbage a month earlier thant the packet  said. When they were showing proper leaves they were moved from the window sill to the greenhouse to harden off. They were then potted on into large (8inch pots) and put on shelf in greenhouse. When the greenhouse was needed for "greenhouse" plants the pots were planted in the bed. I have been harvesting since late May early June and those that were treated normally are not ready yet.
