How exciting!!! We are going to hatch some eggs in the spring but will be using our silkie to do it so nowhere near as exciting!

I still have eggs in the airing cupboard from the silkie that went broody, been turnng them and wiping with a wet cloth, they have a nasty smell though, not sure if its the shavings because they have had water on them.  Hatch day should be this weekend so if nothing by Monday I am going to admit defeat :(

I tried candling them but can't see a thing the shell seems to thick.  The Silkie has gone broody again so maybe she will have better luck this time and not abandon them
