Our mansion... er...shed only took us about 2 1/2 months to put up. I think we got the easy project
wistfully hoping to one day be mostly organic gardener in North London.

Im lucky enough not to have any of these problems - ive no space for another shed or a greenhouse, so i dont mind the rain. But i do want it to be dry long enough to get the spud patch dug.

I did have to repair the roof over the animals yesterday, 'cos the holes meant the rain dripped into Dylan the guinea pigs house, and the sweet old sod was a bit miffed. Quite scary trying to put flashing on a plastic roof thats too wide to reach over. Thought i would fall through any minute, ended up putting bitumen on with a brush ties to a cane.

Anyway, some people are in a worse situation. Just read on an astronomy forum some poor bloke building his new observatory, forgot to put the tarp over. Came back to a sodden structure, and the telescope and all his books were soaked as well.

Yes I was wishing for skyhooks on Saturday to do the roof properly. I ended up with some interesting design features but I think it will work.
Surprising how wobbly a ladder can be on uneven ground - even when you've got a board under it.
So what shall I plant?
I was thinking of some oriental salad leaves and stuff and I'm sure I read somewhere you can grow early carrrots.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Yes I have. And I can barely move my arms above my head... Still I have a sense of achievement.

Is your greenhouse ready to stand up to tonight's blustery gales noshed? or will you be posting pics of you out there in the dark with a torch trying to effect temporary repairs with the rain and wind lashing you from every side?

I have every confidence in its inherent structural integrity. I'm hoping the wind will blow right through.
