I found this in our garage. Apparently it belonged to my dad. Any suggestions what it is or what it was used for anyone. It’s vicious!!

Maybe just a gardening knife, like some of the Japanese weeding knives/razor hoes.

It's a slasher, for cutting back wild shrubs and undergrowth.  More manouverable as it is lighter than a billhook.
