Tiz the monsoon season in tropical Blackpool.
I have just been inspecting the plot by.... canoe, its a bit wet owt theeer!
According to my rain gauge we had 5 days of rain in an 8 hour period!

Some people can't be blamed for thinking you have a sandy soil but er, no! I'm sure yours is just like mine that's made from all the silty tidal deposits left by the various storms we've had to endure over the centuries. Growster lent me the "The Fool's Guide to growing Gopher Wood" which would (wood - ha!) have been very helpful if he'd included the instruction and now I know why he didn't. Soaking wood in pitch would have contravened all the H&S regulations (including one that says if you get any water in your eye you have to wash it out with water), so let's put pics of our sodden gardens to see who's is worst.
