Favourite TV advert ever...
« on: January 17, 2020, 21:10 »
While doing something or other today, a happy Growster started singing (?) the fabulous advert which came out years ago, for 'The Abbey National Insurance Co'! Lionel Bart at his absolute best!

'Get yourself a pensh...' etc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9qJtmw2c5U

Just fabulous...

Any others?

This was a fake commercial from Parks & Recreation, but I wish all advertising was this frank and direct!

Good evening everyone,
the Memsahib and I keep saying "You'll no' be havin' a sale?" as uttered by Private Fraser the undertaker of 'Dad's Army' fame but we cannot for the life ofg us remember what the advert was for!
Anyone out there remember?

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Lads, if you want to post a YouTube link please use the hyperlink button (2nd in from the left, bottom row above the reply box) and paste your link between the brackets, as the forum doesn't auto link for YouTube....

Save me doing them all ;)

R.White's Lemonade  and Smashed Potato Men.  I expect I'll think of more when out in "The Big City" today !!
Oh, yes, something to do with a car, and thinking in a nano-second, and a small girl, oh what's that, and the is the music "search for the hero inside yourself".  Mrs Bouquet

Sometimes my mind wanders, if found please return.

Sorry MOS. It was the advert for PG Tips with the monkeys saying "Tea Mr. Shifter" and "You hum it and I'll play it" then it was surpassed by the Levi's ad accompanied by Marvin Gaye singing "I heard it from the grapevine."  ;)
