Giving Nature a Helping Hand
« on: September 12, 2019, 13:46 »
or not depending on your point of view.     Yesterday my two Arborists came and removed a lot of the lower branches of the Silver Birch beside the Driveway, it was so overgrown you couldn't get the cars down.    They always spend a lot of time walking around, looking at the shape etc.  Often one stands away and directs the other where to cut.   They have now pulled it back into shape, a difficult job because it has more than one leader.    They then removed the lower canopy of my huge olive tree,  I could not walk around or under it.
Both trees now look stunning.   Whilst I am a believer in letting trees and shrubs to their own thing in the wilds, sometimes in domestic situations they do need a helping hand.     Mrs Bouquet

Yes MrsB, in a garden setting (just like children and dogs) trees do need to be taught how to behave or they become a nuisance !
