Our association takes a light hearted approach to the annual show - competition. One of the challenges is that each is given a seed potato of unknown (to all but the organiser) variety and prize to the heaviest crop from it.
This my 1st year not only did I get the prize for heaviest crop and over at 16 Lbs but also bagged best in show prize.
My method, dug large hole and filled with cow muck covered with soil and earthed up with cow muck. only other thing I did was tipped the bowl of washing up water over it on top of the normal watering regime. Is Fairy Liquid a ferterliser? LOL.
