Hi. I'm into my third year and have a compost bin of what now looks like good compost. I was wondering what the best, most cost-effective or impactful use would be for my first compost??? I thought of using for starting seeds or potting on at the start of the 2020 season or just laying on a bed after cropping this autumn?

It has taken time to make and so just wanted to use for the biggest impact on my small plot. Thanks for any advice.

I use mine for raised beds and container grown potatoes. Once the potatoes are lifted I plant the containers with purple sprouting broccoli. Only after harvesting this do I lay it out as a mulch.

One years compost does 4 great jobs; prepares the raised beds for planting, grows the potatoes, grows the PSB and finally improves the soil on the rest of the plot
