I have been offered.some free range chicken poo for my.worm.free.garden.  How.should I treat it before I apply it.  It's amazing what you can arrange at the local doctor  these days!!

It is strong stuff, so don't put it straight onto the garden.

If it comes as is and you have a compost heap, it makes a fantastic activator.  You need to let it rot down with something to stop it being a stinking mess, so a even a small compost bin where you can mix it with shredded paper/green stuff would be a good idea.

If it comes with bedding material, stack and compost it.  I use the stuff I get from the coop as mulch round fruit bushes.  The initial layer was composted, but now I just chuck it on the top of what is already there.  The free-range stuff from round the garden doesn't get picked up, but I only have a few bantams, so it is small and scattered.

Yup, I agree with New Shoot.
With bedding material is best because it's its oen system then.
In a compost bin in a corner until next spring and it'll be perfect.

It would appear to be mixed with bedding.  So some in compost bins, some under black plastic.  What ever happens the soil will start to improve.
