No male courgette flowres this year

This is definitely a weird year in many ways. I haven't had a single male flower open yet but plenty of female flowers. This is exactly the opposite of what normally happens. Fortunately someone must have nearby courgettes as the baby courgettes are growing rather than dropping off unfertilized.

Is any body else having the same thing happen and does any one know the cause?
