I planted a dwarf doughnut peach last year, and when I looked out of the kitchen window a couple of months ago I saw that the bottom leaves were in a terrible state!
Not being the best 'plant mummy', I hadn't sprayed the tree earlier in the year, so wondered what I might have to hand that could possibly help without affecting the fruit.
Despite lots of unsuccessful Gurgling on the subject, I decided to make some cinnamon tea (I had plenty of cinnamon, and it's supposed to have anti-fungal properties, so thought it worth a shot).
So, I've picked off all the affected leaves and sprayed several times, and apart from the odd leaf curling here and there, it doesn't seem to have spread.
Now I'm in a quandary as to whether it's the cinnamon tea or just that I'm paying more attention to removing affected leaves.
If someone has the time and inclination to do a test, I would love to know, as I'd rather not use chemicals if necessary.
I just poured boiling water on some cinnamon powder, left to steep overnight and sprayed on (particularly after rain).
