Hello.
I have an allotment through a association. While i don't have a tenacy agreement as such im assuming im still renting ths plot off them?
On our site we have a main track running down the centre of the land my plot runs alongside this track. There is one more plot on the other side Of my plot with access to the track via two communal paths. One at each end of my plot.
I turned up recently to find that the plot owner next to me has been given permission to widen one of the communal paths (taking a strip off my plot) and build a 6 foot fence down the length of the path to the track and put a padlocked a gate at the end...
While In the process digging up my plot to build his fence.
According to him the commitee gave him the green light. But now he now has an L shaped plot.
Can the commitee enforce this, seems mad that i rent the plot off them but they get to resize it, allow another plot holder to essentially build on my plot and turn the shared path into part of the guys plot.
Is this normal? I just assumed renting a plot was like renting a flat. The landlord cant resize the flat or give permission to other to trespass without my consent, right?
I dont know what to do.
