hi i have a asparagus bed, and now in the 3rd year, i am picking some lovely asparagus
but the weeds keep coming,
i have grass clumps coming through.
how do i get rid of them,
was told not to dig them up,
and salt was mentioned.

Dig/pull out any weed/grass you see, just be careful near the crowns. It's a gentle scraping of soil around the weed rather than getting the spade in!  I cover the bed in lawn clippings most of the year, that helps stifle most weeds, except bramble!  Salt will kill lots of things, not just what you want it to.
