Be very sorry for any plants outside. Be very sorry indeed. They can't turn the heating on when the temperature suddenly drops or go indoors when the wind gets up.

Native plants are well adapted to swings in temperature at this time of year, it is normal given the Arctic is still cold and the more southerly latitudes are quickly warming up, so a reversal of wind direction is all it takes. It is humans that are soft and need artificial heating.

My g-house is burgeoning with plants some of which need to go outside a.s.a.p. but I've just nipped in my main g-house and put the cover over my mini g-house inside it because we're supposed to get an overnight frost.  :( >:(
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Yes  mines the same as far as the tender things are concerned, the brassica's and onions are fine with the temp just got to keep the rabbits off.
Lots on my site were already putting beans in and I panicked as I'd only just sown mine, they are a inch high in the G/H at the moment

Looks like some cold frosty nights over the weekend. I'll have to go to the plot this evening and earth up the early spuds.

Thanks for that timely reminder AL78. I'd forgotten about the spuds in bags behind the polytunnel. Just been up and dragged them inside

All's well in the g-house so far but had to nip out this am to open the door and un-zip the mini g-h cover. Fortunately my pots aren't through yet so my duvet's safe!
