I think for what we pay we have good facilities and plenty of help.

I pay £20 a year and that includes

◊   Water from March - September.
◊    Toilets,
◊    Community room with Kitchen which groups use
◊    A walk though Wildlife garden With a bee hive being put in
                 this year
◊    Shop and a new one being put in this year and the old one
becoming a coffee/tea room for plot holders
◊   Picnic area with table & chairs
◊   Bar B-Q
◊   6 raised beds for people with difficulty in bending set on slabs
so a wheelchair user can access them
◊   School plot which is used by the local School every week
◊   Remembrance section for long serving gardeners who have
                passed
◊   An excellent Committee

What I think is unfair is that every one pays the same amount. I have a full size plot so I am ok but I do feel it is wrong for them with a half size paying the same as me.

Well when I get one it's £50 a year, from the council as well so quite high. But I give Salisbury's between £70 and £90 a week, so £50 a year is a bargin I guess.

I just paid £6 for approx 8 rod square which runs until September with the local parish council. I was told that if I could wait until April then its free! I decided to cough up now

Running water and hedges is about all that is supplied, if you don't include rabbits and partridges. Fires not allowed, nor is any 'building' work. There is a gate, but it's so tucked away that there isn't a need for a lock.
I'm all dirty.

whatever your rent is (mines £30) its a bargain - if you was paying commercial rates to rent land for agricultural use it would be in the region of about £500ap for 10 rods....

28 pounds for a 10 rod plot with running water here in Hull.
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.

I pay £17.50 for a half plot of 13'6" x 41' for a year. No toilets(good job house 2 minute walk!)/shops, just allotments and I think we may have a compost heap somewhere (??) Pretty good for the area I think.

So much to do, but so little time.
