Covering seedlings with fleece
« on: March 06, 2019, 20:36 »
Hi,

Just about to put some onion and betroot seedlings in the ground.

I'm going to cover both with fleece and was wondering if it makes any difference whether to use the light or heavy type?

I'm assuming it doesn't really matter if it touches the plants i would think they would be strong enough to push it up?

On the school farm they just lay it loosely over their rows, and pushed into a slit in the soil at the sides. That stops it blowing away, but allows for upward growth.
