My 1st seed order through the allotment shop as arrived I hear (yay!) among which are 2 bulbs of Mersley wight, a winter-hardy softneck garlic.
The garlic I planted in September is looking good; rooted and shooted with long leaves, but I won't be able to get to the plot until Saturday to plant this lot, by which time very cold weather is forecast.
Should I plant the garlic in what looks like could be frosty ground (maybe snow who knows) or store them til the weather improves?
If planted will they just hang about until it gets warmer or rot in the ground?
