"then adopted as the date to celebrate the birth of The Light of the World"

That was until Seeboard and all the other electricity companies took over, then we got all the online crowd muscling in, and they're all on the fiddle..;0)

I reckon soon, they'll move Thewordwemustnotsay to the Summer, like they did in Australia!

Around this time of year I always go to

https://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php

You can enter your precise lat and long coordinates and print off a year's worth of sunrise and sunset times.  I find it a bit of a boost to flagging spirits to see the day length getting longer and seeing it printed definitely lifts my mood...

My browser whinged about there not being a security certificate or something but it worked just the same.

On Solstice I went into the greenhouse and sowed a few trays...

I like that idea adri, thank you. (Our Globo onions were sown late November, so I can always look at them and dream  :nowink:. Good to see some nice new green shoots)

You're welcome!

If you need accurate lat and long go to ordnance survey and right click on the pin where you are and click more info and it will give the figures for your precise location.

Cheers

Adri
