Small black beatle identification?

Hello. This morning I cut some salad from some troughs of cut and come again salad and everything was fine.  I came home tonight to find an infestation of small black Beatles all over them. I have taken a photo of some that had dropped onto a hard surface beneath. Does anyone have any ideas of what they could be? I have never seen anything like this before.

They look like weevils of some description - identifiable by the long 'snout'
We get more of them appearing when nearby crops are harvested.
Unlikely to do any major damage to salads, but keep an eye on the plants just in case
